Hot Ideas and Cool Products define the technology markets of the world. However, not all ideas and innovation are financially viable.

Harvard Business School professor Theodore Levitt in his 1963 HBR article wrote “Creativity Is Not Enough.” In fact, there’s an important difference between being innovative and being an innovative enterprise: The former generates lots of ideas; the latter generates lots of cash.

At TIM 2023 you will meet entrepreneurs who have excelled in the use of new technologies. That’s why TIM will add such great value to your business. And to You! You will get to meet and network with transformational leaders who are defining the pathway to the future of shipping. The 'TIM Global Conference and Networking Meet' will provide you with an extraordinary platform for exchange of information, advice, and referrals.

Your participation in TIM will help you stay on top of the latest trends in your industry, keep a pulse on the job market, meet prospective mentors, partners, and clients, and gain access to the necessary resources that will foster your personal as well as organizational growth.

One probably does not associate maritime colleges in India as breeding grounds for innovation! The ‘Innovation in Maritime’ (IIM) awards is one of its kind in the industry. IIM Awards will recognise the immense potential of the students of maritime and provide them a platform to experiment and innovate, and come up with something extra ordinary. Students from maritime institutes will submit Innovative Concepts and Ideas to address prevalent challenges in the maritime industry. Concepts have to be unique and original ideas relevant to the challenges faced in the maritime industry. The entries should be submitted through the student’s colleges.

In addition, seafarers and students who have passed out from maritime institutes or sailing can also submit papers on innovation in maritime at their individual level.

A global jury comprising of eminent stalwarts of the maritime industry would review all the entries and the first three winners would be announced and awarded the prestigious INNOVATION IN MARITIME AWARD at the TIM 2023 global conference on Sat 18th Nov in Mumbai

The first three winning papers would be sent to the Ministry of Shipping India, Director General of Shipping India and the IMO Technical committee for their perusal. It will also form part of the TIM Souvenir

Last date for submission of papers: 18th October 2023

Promoting the Merchant Navy as an honorable career options for the new generation.

In a country of 1,417,644,495 people as of April 2023, India has only around 2.4 Lakh Seafarers. Why do students not want to join the merchant navy in spite of the high salaries that the industry offers? One reason is that people are now aware of the immense opportunities that lie within the industry for a lifelong career. Also we have failed to glamourize our Industry.

Honor is about integrity and identity. We need to make our industry look honorable and demonstrate the strength of its identity to the outside world.

For the first time, leaders of maritime and students will walk the ramp at a glittering show of character – to inspire the new generation to take up merchant navy as a career of choice. The opportunities are endless.
